Melville, N.Y., September 21, 2021 – Leviton today introduced an expanded commercial grade Smart Wallbox Sensors line with a new 1000W dimming model for phase cut applications, a non-neutral switching model, and multi-way capabilities for up to five devices on all models. The line of smart touchless wallbox occupancy sensors is designed for easy, out-of-the-box operation, minimal contact, and simple installation. The sleek design, paired with a wide range of features allows for energy savings, local control, and code compliance.
“Leviton’s expanded Smart Wallbox Sensor line delivers increased functionality and ease of use,” said Tom Leonard, vice president of controls at Leviton. “These sensors do so much, so easily, they are ideal go-to choice for commercial occupancy and vacancy sensing needs. Whether phase dimming or 0-10, switching for new or retrofit, this line has it covered.”
The new line includes the Smart PIR 1000W Dimming Wallbox Sensor (ODP10-I1x) and Smart PIR Wall Switch Wallbox Sensor (ODS15-GDx). The Smart PIR 1000W Dimming Wallbox Sensor (ODP10-I1x) offers easy switching and dimming of incandescent and dimmable LED or CFL bulbs. The new Smart PIR Wall Switch Wallbox Sensor (ODS15-GDx) combines occupancy/vacancy sensing with switching and can be used in applications with or without a neutral wire. To simplify use and functionality, all models now include multi-way capabilities for up to five devices using a simple push to pair process.
All models feature the latest digital PIR and lens technology, which accurately detects minor motion up to 400 sq ft and major motion up to 1,100 sq ft for an enhanced field-of-view to eliminate false OFFs. Installers can choose from several options for programming and configuration using the default mode, pushbutton configuration for common room settings, or the Smart Sensor App.
Leviton’s original Smart Wallbox Sensor line includes the Smart PIR Wallbox Sensor (ODS15-IDx/ODS15-ILx) for simple switching applications and Smart PIR Dimming Wallbox Sensor (ODD10-IDx), which includes a 24V low voltage model (ODD24-IDW). All dimming models combine occupancy/vacancy sensing with dimming and daylight response, as well as adjustable partial-on and partial-off capabilities to further enhance energy savings and tailor operation to precisely meet the needs of each application.
The Smart Wallbox Sensors can be used to comply with IECC, ASHRAE 90.1, and 2019 Title 24, Part 6 occupancy/vacancy sensing and manual control or dimming requirements as well as receptacle control.
